6th – 17th May 2019: Pradarshak presents Watercolour on Paper Paintings by Jonas Pambujya

Mumbai-based Jonas is a peaceable man. His artistic skills have been directed at imparting knowledge and spreading the cheer of an artistic bent for over two decades now. Prolific at all mediums, Jonas expresses himself best in watercolour and pen on paper. His work revolves around the spiritual and cultural aspects of the Indian society, where he blends in his philosophy of life, his learnings and his leanings to cull out calming paintings that are a joy to behold.

The artist is impressed by and draws inspiration from nature - especially flocks of birds. And this is the theme that characterises his debut solo outing. Nesting together amidst the woods, flocks flying high in the skies… these birds denote togetherness – a precious emotion that sustains mankind. Absolutely floored by this feeling, Jonas repeatedly captures on paper these messengers of peace, drawing feelings of serenity and inner peace from his art.

In pursuit of this, Jonas uses the wash technique in watercolours on paper and succeeds impeccably in conveying his thought process to his viewers. His soothing colour palette compliments his mindset and the scenario he purports to convey.

A beautiful show of watercolours, with a message – not to be missed!
