Pradarshak in Sanskrit stands for ‘exhibitor’ and from day one – June 9, 1994, Team Pradarshak has grown with this honest intention of “exhibiting art” telling one artist after another to use the exposure as a steppingstone to greater things in life.
Acclaimed as the Smallest Gallery of Fine Art in India, perhaps even Asia, the 60-square-foot gallery nestled in the suburbs of Khar, Mumbai is renowned as a platform for emerging artists. Many an artist who has debuted with his solo exhibition here has moved on to reach greater heights in his artistic career; some have even reached the auction scenarios.
Despite its size, Pradarshak has prominently made its mark in the art-world both locally as well as internationally.
These 25 years have been a journey filled to the brim and overflowing sometimes with new learnings, insights into the workings of the artists’ minds, a realisation of how resilience constitutes the subtle strength of character, especially during struggling times… and most importantly a journey that continues to be wrought with emotions. Healthy, positive, energising emotions.
On the occasion of our 25th Anniversary, Pradarshak is celebrating these emotions through its various relationships.
