It is very complex to decipher what an artist’s mind perceives. Charlee Correia, young artist and academician is amazed at the silent ‘vibrations’ that bind us. Man to man. Man to animal. Man to thing. Animal to thing…
His intrigue about the dynamism of the human mind, where an array of expressions flash by the mind’s eye viz., calm, isolation, thoughtfulness… drives him to paint. What transpires then is a series of colourful, vivid paintings; or minimalist sketches in monochrome that seize the moment for posterity.

Using mixed medium on paper, the artist works as the mood sets in, his thoughts manifested as different symbols that anoint his works of art. Black and white are two colours that he uses to aver to the omniscient presence of the divine.
Besides this, there are no set rules that this bohemian mind follows. A fact that Charlee expresses in his experimental work with a coconut shell on wood. Relating it to the ‘empty mind’, the artist questions both – a serene vs. a numb state of mind.
