Gallery Pradarshak presents its Annual Student Exhibition - Vidyarthi Vishesh, now in its 24th consecutive year!

Typically commonplace objects come to life as these young artists dabble in creative arrangements of inanimate objects to capture a beauty that is most often otherwise taken for granted. Still Life paintings trace beginner steps in every artist’s life but, aren’t as easy to capture as they may seem. Often, artists work and rework a painting to get things right. Here, we showcase a small collection that scores on both - treatment and aesthetics.

In the same vein, the lesser visited genres of graphic prints and pen and ink drawings once again draw into prominence an aesthetic that may otherwise go unnoticed. Everyday occurrings like a group of people chatting, someone admiring the sky, someone cycling… turn into intriguing pieces of artistic expression as young artists etch into a medium like wood or acrylic or metal and take multiple impressions, varying the tonal qualities of each print. A new perspective is born.

And of course, the inherent beauty of a monochrome work of art is almost always spellbinding and evergreen!
