presents “Gossip” Debut Solo
Exhibition of Bronze Sculptures by Sushma Walavalkar-Adate.
Sushma Walavalkar-Adate is an adept
sculptor, who has been working with metal and stone for the last 7 years since
she graduated with a formal art degree in sculpture. Backed by several
participations and a handful of group exhibitions, the artist debuts with a
common subject “Gossip” in her solo exhibition, where she also explores press
casting in bronze as her medium of expression.

The commonplace subject matter translates
into intriguing human typology with shades of red from the bronze and red
sandstone combined with oxidized and patina finishes to bring in an element of
colour into the narrative.
