Artist Rahul Mhetre is a quiet observer and when he voices his
thoughts, one is acquainted with a person, who thinks deeply but finds joy in
small things; small incidents of life -
a corollary that is expressed in his paintings that hold mass appeal with their
vibrant colours and pragmatic connect.

With a diligent review of colour, tool
and subject, the artist tries to show current urbanizing rural scenarios, where
one is transfixed – between the dilemma of nature and a comfort level on one
hand, and the urge to upgrade on the other. Without gong too deep into the
subject, the artist, as a true-blue optimist dreamer, seeks out the pleasant
and the joyous and using deft brushwork, palette knife and at times, both;
draws out the essence of innocence that is still native to a large part of
rural India.

This is really a worth piece of writing. I really enjoyed it.
