About Scenic Views - balm for the soul:

Artists who paint nature have a special something about the way they perceive it and capture it for posterity. All the four artists revel in the intricacies of being preoccupied with their works of art. This prolonged dialogue with their paintings felicitates a bonding between the artist and his muse; the work of art and the ultimate viewer, carrying the private dialogue forward as an insight for the viewer; giving him a better understanding of the attachment and relationship of an artist with his works of art. The result goes beyond mere viewing the works of art and revelling in the beauty of nature. It reaches within to appease the soul.

About the artists:

Atul Gendle: A master’s in fine art, Atul is a complete nature buff. He views the world through the lens of an artist smitten by whatever his eye captures. Citiscapes, seascapes, and landscapes, especially those that his deft brush strokes capture on paper and canvas are his signature and pride. The artist loves the colour gray as it neutralises the vividity of life to depict the harsh truth that lies beneath. For a spirited young nature lover, this is a layered thought that somehow, stealthily finds its way on paper through his visual vocabulary.

Avishkar Vispute: This Nasik artist looks for the meaning of life beyond words. Nature for him is sublime and it is here that he searches for a calm, a serenity that is profound, beyond words, beyond self. With nature as his inspiration and his dedication, the desire to integrate everything within himself propels him forward. He continues on his journey of painting...water, fields, thickets, nature in its full bloom...perceiving, observing, discovering.

Paul D’mello: Fine Art and photography is a potent combination. Artist Paul D’mello is qualified in, and adept at both. For him, art is spiritual – the means to his happiness, comfort, accomplishment. Lakes, bridges, streetscapes, everything is captured on his paper, even the details of flowers sometimes. His most favoured medium is watercolour on paper, and he paints to spread the inner joy and share it with his viewers.

Satish Mane: TYoung painter and sculptor, Satish revels in the beauty around him. The profusion of colours in nature in the form of flowers, fruits, leaves and the changing seasons are his greatest influencers. Using the technique of pointillism – dotted colour application on canvas, the artist, enamoured by the phenomenon of Greeshma — the spring season, follows a colour palette that is deep, clear and bold. The other season that captives the artist is Autumn, when millions of trees turn to brilliantred, orange, gold, purple and yellow. As someone aptly put it “Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.”
