Waters” Solo Exhibition of Paintings
by Deepak Patil
Primarily a watercolourist, Deepak Patil, like most of his ilk, deftly
sketches and paints on location.

His current exhibition showcases his repertoire from a recent visit to
scenic Alleppey in Kerala. The ‘Back Waters’ are the canals of Kerala are
generally referred to, are an artist’s haven.

Most comfortable with Windsor & Newton paints and Arches paper, Deepak’s is a
style that is characterised by creating romanticism in his works. One tends to
forget all else when immersed in his fine works of art. In the currents series,
he recreates the magic of the back waters and many of the landscapes are from
strategic points of stopover from his cruise of the backwaters.

In addition to this,
Deepak also showcases his prowess in acrylic on canvas with a few select
exhibits from Badami, Goa and Ellora.
