– 29th Mar.’14: Pradarshak presents “Rhythm
of Life” Solo Exhibition by Vinay Bagde.
Vinay Bagde is a young artist from Latur. His
surroundings have been his biggest influence and inspiration as he continues to
hone his study of the local Lamani Tribe. Often seen across sites of highway
construction, the Lamani women are seen as active labourers; while the Lamani
men basically tend herd – goats and sheep.

Their sense of dressing, their lifestyle forms
the core of Vinay study and paintings. Adept at oil and acrylic mediums, the
artist explores his muse through a vibrant palette of colours, sometimes
veering towards unusual mixes, resulting in what he calls ‘English colours’.
His use of the palette knife adds another dimension to his work, as he explores
‘couples’; the canvases conversing, exploring little nuances that intrigue and
engage the viewers.
